This is a quote from an obituary from the Prince George Citizen, my home town newspaper. I knew this guy’s son, who probably was the one who wrote the obit. Prince George breeds classy folks.  Or at least practical folks.  Might as well enjoy a cold one and swap lies about the deceased.  My kind of funeral.
Douglas Alexander Elrick (1947 – 2011)

Douglas Alexander Elrick February 14, 1947 – July 25, 2011 Douglas passed away peacefully at the Rotary Hospice house after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Christina, son Dean (Lana), daughter Tina, grandchildren Lucas and Dayton, brother Dennis (Colleen), sisters Marie (Kevin) and Susan (Tom) and numerous other relatives and good friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 1:00pm at Lakewood First Memorial Funeral Home. 1055 Ospika Blvd South. In lieu of flowers, please bring beer, preferably Canadian. (P.S. donations, in memory of Douglas, can be made to the BC Cancer Society or the Rotary Hospice House)
